In Home Euthanasia

When we become a pet parent the days are filled with unconditional love and loyalty. Our pets quickly fill our hearts without trying and enrich our lives in countless ways. As a pet owner we take on the responsibilities for caring for them through the good years and the years where they begin to slow down. Sometimes one of the hardest responsibilities that comes with loving a pet is having to make the difficult decision of euthanasia if their quality of life becomes poor.

We work with a number of Mobile Vets that help facilitate saying goodbye and transitioning them into the end stage of life. This a deeply personal decision, a few things to keep in mind when faced with this is whether the traditional vet clinic atmosphere or home atmosphere is right for you and your pet during this time.

Benefits of working with a Mobile Vet

  • Flexibility, Mobile Veterinarians are sometimes able to schedule your pet’s appointment afterhours and on short notice if needed.
  • Your pet to be comfortable in their own surroundings allowing them to be more relaxed.
  • Household pets can be present and this can be helpful for their healing process after the loss of their friend.
  • The ability to grieve your pets loss in private.
